Globalized Neo-Chinese Style | Contemporary Interpretations of Traditional Culture | Transformable Jewelry | New Jade
Founded in 2016, MAISON LUMIERE’s brand philosophy centers on “transformable jewelry.” The designer aspires to integrate Kinetic Art into jewelry design, infusing pieces with a sense of spatial fluidity and dynamic beauty.
Designer Kar regards jewelry design as a second language beyond words. By blending Eastern heritage with Western modern art, she is dedicated to building an Eastern jewelry brand rooted in a framework of Chinese aesthetics. Since its establishment, the brand has collaborated with renowned domestic and international IPs, including the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, National Treasure, the National Gallery (UK), and Dunhuang Cultural Creations.
Starting in 2019, Maison Lumière launched the "New Jade" design project, focusing on rejuvenating traditional jade design. Today, the brand has become a representative name in this niche field. Since 2024, it has further initiated intangible cultural heritage collaborations, releasing a series that integrates traditional craftsmanship from Sichuan.
MAISON LUMIERE has also achieved remarkable success internationally. Numerous artists and celebrities, such as Blackpink, Tyla, Tems, as well as Yixing Zhang and Junkai Wang, have become its custom or retail clients. With its unique Eastern aesthetic, the brand has graced the covers of international editions of Vogue, CR Fashionbook, and has been featured in avant-garde media outlets like Bazaar, Dazed, and Wonderland.
